Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Jurisphere, you will own core backend systems, drive architecture decisions, and build for scale from day one.

What you'll do

• Own backend systems end-to-end

  Design and build scalable APIs and backend services. Own performance, observability, and reliability across core services in production.

• Drive architecture

  Make and defend architecture decisions. Partner with AI and product teams to ship high-impact features quickly without accumulating debt.

• Raise the engineering bar

  Champion best practices in code review and system design, remove bottlenecks, and mentor engineers.

Minimum qualifications

• 5-8 years of software engineering experience with strong backend and systems focus.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or equivalent.
• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems and APIs in production.
• Track record of owning complex technical projects end-to-end.
• Authorised to work in the US.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML-adjacent infrastructure or LLM-powered products.
• Familiarity with legal workflows, document processing, or enterprise SaaS.
• Prior experience as an early engineering hire at a startup.
