Legal Counsel
LOCATION - Remote, US
EXPERIENCE - 4-7 years
COMPENSATION - $120,000 - $150,000
About the role
As Legal Counsel, you will be Jurisphere's first dedicated company-side legal hire, partnering directly with founders.
What you'll do

Own commercial contracts
Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and partnerships with scalable playbooks.

Lead compliance
Own data privacy and AI governance across GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDP Act.

Support corporate matters
Advise on governance, fundraising, investor documentation, and US/India employment matters.
Minimum qualifications
- JD with 4-7 years in commercial law; some in-house experience preferred.
- Strong contracts background with rapid SaaS agreement turnaround.
- Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy compliance.
- Comfortable operating independently as a solo legal function.
- Authorised to work in the US.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as first or sole in-house counsel at a startup.
- Familiarity with AI governance, LegalTech, or SaaS regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting fundraising rounds and investor documentation.
