LOCATION - Remote, US
EXPERIENCE - 3-6 years
COMPENSATION - $130,000 - $170,000
About the role
As an Applied AI Engineer, you will design, build, and continuously improve the AI systems that power Jurisphere's legal platform.
What you'll do

Build AI-powered legal workflows
Implement workflows for contract review, research, and analysis with prompt architectures that produce structured, accurate outputs.

Own evaluation and quality
Develop benchmark frameworks, identify failure modes, and build feedback loops to improve output quality over time.

Ship and maintain in production
Partner with engineering and legal teams to deploy AI features reliably and run structured improvement cycles.
Minimum qualifications
- 3-6 years in applied AI, ML engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with modern LLM APIs.
- Strong Python proficiency and production AI systems experience.
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks and structured experiments.
- Authorised to work in the US.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with fine-tuning, RLHF, or model feedback loops.
- Background in NLP, retrieval, or document understanding.
- Familiarity with legal workflows or regulated-industry AI applications.
